Solo Wild Camping in Wales
One slow Tuesday at work I was feeling restless beyond words; staring out windows at the gloomy city sky and passing shoppers in the streets below. I felt an overwhelming urge to escape, to do something wild; something that would make me feel independent, strong and free. So I decided that day that that thing would be a solo wild camp and hike in Snowdonia National Park. I’d planned to meet my boyfriend there in a couple of weekends time, but had an extra two days off which seemed the perfect time to head into the hills.
As the day approached, the weather began looking more and more temperamental - high winds and rain for the whole weekend. It certainly wasn’t the most appealing weather, but I had my heart set on a couple of days in the hills. And so I packed a 40L rucksack, laced on my hiking boots and set off walking.
Here is a video and some photographs from my time wild-camping in Wales. It’s my first video but something I might want to do more in the future, so I hope you enjoy!
